Homelessness 101

Homelessness is a sad reality that is affecting people everywhere within our cities, states, country and world. We MUST do something about this! When looking within our own county (shown on the right) the loss of jobs is the largest reason for homelessness. What can do to reinstate this? To fix this problem? Well within the walls of our country, there can be a desire to grow exponentially, sometime eliminating opportunities for others to work. It is ironic that many homeless organizations are the ones who are providing jobs for the very people they are serving. One thing we must do is to put down this term "homeless." After spending two and a half months traveling and reaching out to people living in the streets, I realized how dehumanizing this is. Those who are without homes are no different from you or I, just in financial struggles. Yes, sometimes it is caused by drug and alcohol abuse, but that is not the majority of the case. May we see the hearts of those living on our streets and learn to #loveoneheartatatime This needs to be a worldwide effort to tackle this issue debilitating and destroying many peoples lives, but the way we start is within our very own communities. Partner with us, as we seek to start a revolution to utilize what we have been blessed with to reach others and to help lead them out of their current state of life.
